Scope of Work:
The Ad Hoc Committee is the Committee that is charged with studying, investigating and making recommendations with respect to topics that are relevant to the Town but may not have been assigned to other Committees. This includes such matters as signs, flood and storm water management and historic resources. The Ad Hoc Committee is also encouraged to work with the other Committee where issues may overlap. The Ad Hoc Committee is to report to the Zoning Updates Committee with respect to any proposed changes to the Town of Austerlitz Zoning Code and if there are specific recommendations that do not impact the Town’s Zoning Code, the Committee may make such recommendations directly to the Town Board.
In addition to or in furtherance of the above, the Housing Committee should refer to the Comprehensive Plan, Recommendations G-2 through G-4, H-4 through H-7 (coordinate with the Housing Committee on H-5), J-5 through J-7, J-9, and K-1 through K-8 as the Ad Hoc Committee deems appropriate.
Guidance Notes:
The Ad Hoc Committee is the one Committee without specific tasks enumerated in the Comprehensive Plan so its role will be evolving as the Committees progress in their work. Thus, the Ad Hoc Committee is encouraged to communicate and collaborate with other Committees as it deems appropriate. It may seek guidance from the Zoning Updates Committee regarding issues that may impact zoning and the Town Board on any other issues.
Reports:
The Ad Hoc Committee shall keep the Town Board regularly informed of its progress and should provide written or in-person reports to the Town Board at least once every month.
